In 2019, the federal state of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern opened its contact office in Hanoi. The ceremony was attended, among others, Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany in Vietnam, the Minister of Economy, Labor and Health of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern and Ambassador Nguyen Huu Trang.
